Devils Lake Adventure

The day started out so fine, the sun was shining the birds were bababab.. From there it gets good. Riding the 10 ton Ferry was a cool start. Figured snap a few pics. Once at Devils Lake the kids and me decided to go right str8 up the hill. The huge rock are like a jungle gym. Everything was going good I pretty sure fun was being had by all. Then Kris said Todd come here. When I got to her she showed me what was up. Gashed open at the ankle she was bleeding on the rocks. Taylor commented later we were going to have to call that spot bleeding rock. I took off up the rock thinking it might be easier to get her down the path then the rock. Wrong! once at the top I couldnt find a place to get her through. So I headed back to bleeding rock and we headed str8 down the rock face. Kristine had not a tear or even said that it was hurting. Once near the bottom I ran (LOLOLOL) to the ranger station and asked if they have a first aid station. MUCH to my surprise then didn't. I then found out that they didn't have a kit little alone a station. To there defence they did have a gauze and some wrap. Sam and Taylor took off after the grown ups that were with us. (I don't think I qualify as a grown-up) Sam heads up asked another hiker for a cell phone and call Tammy telling her to head back to the truck. As dumb luck of the day Tammys cell phone only recorded static. Imagine that. Once Tammy and Tonia got back the the truck we were off to the hospital. Baraboo 20 mins away. There I saw one of the most interesting display of food intake. Taylor put on a feat that couldn't be beat! I guess some day that boy is going to win a hot dog or cow eating contest. O and by the way Taylor and Sam thanks for the quarters. I guess 10 stitches and was right on. Kris should have gotten Ice Cream that day but we were all so tired we pretty much watch a girly movie and crashed. I did have a GREAT TIME on the Devil Lake Adventure Day.
